For your own account

If you’ve forgotten the password for your Workaware account go to https://id.workaware.com/password/forgot to get a password reset message sent to your email.

If you can’t remember your username or your Workaware account isn’t configured to send email please contact your Workaware administrator or send us an email at support@workaware.com

Administrators - To set the password for an individual user from the desktop client:

  1. Open the “People” module from the People section of the main screen

  2. Double click on the user you want to set the password for

  3. At the bottom of the user details screen click on “Set Password”.  This will let you enter any password for the user.

  4. Click “Save”.  The user’s password is now updated and they can log in with the password you set.  If they’re configured to receive emails they’ll receive a notification with the new password.

 If you want to change

Administrators - Set the password for multiple users at once

  1. Open the “People” module from the People section of the main screen

  2. Click on “Export to Spreadsheet” to get an Excel listing of all current users emailed to you.

  3. Edit the spreadsheet to remove all rows except for the users you want to change passwords for.  Enter the new password in the Password column (in this case a minimum of 6 characters is required).

  4. In Workaware click on Company Settings in the Settings section of the main screen

  5. Click on “Import” (you may need to scroll the top line to the right to see it

  6. Click on “Import People Updates” and provide the spreadsheet you just edited.

  7. If the upload succeeds you’ll see a green section.  If there’s an error sending the file to the server a red notification will appear, in which case you’ll need to repeat #6 again

  8. Once the upload is processed you’ll get an email letting you know if the update succeeded or not.  If there were no errors the users will be able to log in with their new passwords.
