Single form listing

Previously, completed forms could be found in two sections:

...

  • the icon will display the number of forms that have changes that haven’t been sent to the server yet

  • the Completed Forms listing displays any locally modified forms in a smaller listing at the top and flags in the main listing any forms that exist on the server that have local changes

Work on a form later

...

On previous versions of Workaware all required fields of a form had to be completed at once before the form could be recorded. As of version 3.10 all changes to a form are recorded locally by default and the form can be paused and returned to at any point through the Completed Forms listing.

To remove a locally created form or all local changes to a form right-click on the entry in the “Forms with local changes” list and choose “Delete Local Changes”

Deprecated modules

...

The Scheduled Items and Manual Entries modules are deprecated in this version of Workaware for Desktop and are scheduled for removal in a future version. Additionally a number of tabs under “Company Settings” have been disabled for the same reason. If however you still require any of these modules please let us know. Disabled sections under Company Settings can be re-enabled by checking the “Enable All Tabs” button in the upper right corner. To re-enable disabled modules on the main screen please contact Workaware support

Additional changes

Below is a listing of the other changes made in this version of Workaware

Picklist types update

When a new custom picklist type is added under Company Settings > Picklists values can be added to it right away.

Required maintenance fields highlighted

An entry under the Maintenance/Lockout-Tagout listing for an asset may require an odometer or machine hours reading depending on the schedule. The required fields are now highlighted.

Journey Search

Journeys can now be searched by all priorities and created by users now, not just the ones shown on the current page

Periodic Form Save

When a form is saved to the server if it fails for some reason (no network, server error) the application will now try periodically to save it. The length of time between attempts is configured in Computer Settings > General > How often should pending changes be saved to the server?

...

The results of the most recent periodic save are indicated at the bottom of the screen, to the right of the sync icon. Green indicates success, red indicates there was an error.

Asset Zebra Labels Fixed

There was an issue with generating asset labels for Zebra printers in 3.9 that’s been corrected in 3.10

Search Blank Forms

The blank forms listing can be filtered by template name now. Categories that contain a matching form or uncategorized forms that match will be displayed by the filter.

In the provided image the filter “vehicl” has filtered to all forms that contain “vehicl” as well as three categories that have forms with “vehicl” in their name.

Improved layout for dynamic forms

Dynamic (non-PDF) forms display better in Workaware Desktop 3.10. Additionally all required fields have a red border to indicate they need to be populated. On request to save any unpopulated required fields will display as a solid red area.
